You are here: Top> Email / POP3 Services POP3 email services POP3 email services allow you to fetch email from your email address using any conventional mail reading package. If your internet access provider gave you an email address, nine times out of ten it will be a POP3 mailbox. To fetch POP3 mail, your mail reading package needs to support the POP3 mail fetching protocol, which most do (as it is the 'default' protocol now-a-days). A main advantage of POP3 mail services is that they allow you to 'work offline', meaning that you can disconnect from the Internet to read and reply to messages. POP3 also allows you to make the most of fancy services offered by your email client (such as Marcel,Pluto,Mail,Messenger and Eudora). POP3 mail services are normally supported by sending advertisements to your mail box, you are encouraged to read and act upon any adverts which interest you.
